An Ode to Myrna Loy

As my maiden post, I chose one of my most unexpected fashion icons as my subject. I don’t have much to say because these few images say everything I want to, but here goes. Myrna Loy. An incredible actress most famous during the early/mid-twentieth century for her roles in films like The Thin Man (she played Nora Charles, wife of famous detective Nick Charles. Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist, anyone?) and Wings in the Dark. She starred opposite many heartthrobs and still remained in the spotlight. Not only was she exotic, witty and intellegent; she had a wicked sense of style. So take a look at these following photos and find your own inspiration!

Welcome Adele! It’s nice to have someone else from Pittsburgh on the site…Maybe we can work together to find some cool events/designers/other fashion related things around here because I’ve been having some trouble…
She does have really great style though…I’m very happy that some of the styles from her era are becoming popular again…they’re so classy and sophisticated!

I think this article is splendiferous. It’s about time a youngster like yourself appreciates the wonders and natural beauty of a time long forgotten. Thank you for reviving my past memories with your thought-provoking and retrospective article.
